I am head of the endocrine outpatient clinic at the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism at the Vienna General Hospital (AKH). My main areas of expertise include the diagnosis and treatment of metabolic diseases such as overweight/obesity, diabetes and dyslipidemia as well as specific endocrinological diseases affecting the pituitary gland, adrenal glands, thyroid or parathyroid glands.

 

After studying medicine in Vienna and Heidelberg, my scientific work took me to Harvard University in Boston, where I worked intensively on new methods for weight loss. After returning to Vienna, I founded my own research group and completed my specialist training in internal medicine as well as in endocrinology and metabolism.
