Hypertension

In Austria, one in four people has high blood pressure (hypertension) with an increasing risk with age. In addition to a hereditary predisposition, the risk factors for high blood pressure are lack of exercise, unhealthy diet, obesity and stress. Sometimes hormonal disorders can trigger secondary forms of hypertension. Permanently high blood pressure is particularly dangerous for the blood vessels, heart, brain, kidneys and eyes. The ideal blood pressure value for most people is below 120/80mmHg.

In addition to a healthy lifestyle, there are a number of medical options to normalize the blood pressure. If you have hypertension, I can offer a through hormonal assessment to test for secondary forms of hypertension and if necessary adjust your blood pressure medication to your needs.
